Gift Basket Ideas for a Woman that Likes Tea

It might seem easy to buy gift basket items for a woman that likes tea, but it can include more than mugs and boxes of the usual teabags. It can include much more. A high quality gift basket for a woman can contain all sorts of items related to one of her favorite beverages, and it can include gourmet treats and accessories. Baskets that contain an array of gifts are ideal for birthdays, holidays and more.

I recently assembled a gift basket of tea and accessories for a woman at church. She remembered a tea themed gift basket that I had assembled for someone else, and she wanted to give one to her mother-in-law. I used the following gifts in her basket. After it was wrapped, it looked better than baskets sold in stores. Best of all, it included items that were higher in quality than anything found in ready made baskets.

Optional Additions

To assemble a gift basket for a woman that likes tea, you will need a basket that is large enough to hold several items along with shredded tissue paper or filler of your choice. You will also need at least two kinds of tea. Consider a popular variety such as Earl Grey as well as an herbal blend. I would suggest buying a variety pack in addition to a traditional blend.

A woman that likes tea can also use a tea bag strainer, a tea timer with a temperature gauge, a pretty teacup that includes a nice design or saying and treats to go with the tea. I chose a small box of English biscuits for the gift basket that I assembled. I also included a pretty coaster. These items were more than enough to fill the gift container. Any woman that likes tea will love the variety of useful gifts.

Assembly Suggestions

Begin by lining the gift basket with shredded tissue paper, raffia or Easter grass in a color of your choice. I prefer using shredded art quality tissue paper. I run it through my shredder to create perfect little strips of paper. I chose an accent color in the teacup when deciding on a tissue paper color. They coordinated beautifully.

Next, fill the gift basket beginning with the largest items. Keep the largest heaviest gifts in the center, and distribute them evenly. Tuck the smaller gift items around the larger ones. Fill in bare spots with decorative accents like those shown in the photo.

The gift basket does not have to be wrapped, but it will look far better if it is. The wrap will also keep the items contained. I use clear basket wrap. It is available in craft stores, and it comes in a variety of sizes. Tie the top closed with a pretty bow that matches the color of the basket filler. It will look professionally designed, but it will include tea and other items of your choice at a much lower price.
