One Cup Coffee Makers

It washes out easily and is a simple filter to use and put back into the coffee maker. The filter is located in the convenience of the top of the machine. It removes easily just by lightly pulling the filter up and out. The upper lid lifts up and water, coffee, and the filter are all inserted from above. This upper lid is held in by thin plastic type of clips. Its flimsy and the clips easily release often.

A cup is provided with the machine to replace the standard coffee pot. There is a snap in design base that comes included for the cup to rest on as the coffee is brewed into the cup. There is also a larger base provided in the event if larger or replacement cups are needed.

The lightweight design makes this unit easy for traveling. The unit weighs two pounds, which is not an uncommon weight for this type of product. There are similar products of less weight on the market. Due to its smaller coffee maker size, it is easy to pack up. A product of just a few pounds can easily be knocked over. I use caution when cleaning the entire unit as it reveals being made out of a thin plastic material.

There are many makers and types of single serve or one cup coffee makers. Review each and consider the pros and cons of them all before making a decision. Be sure to include the price and quality of each unit. Remember, most of the time you get what you pay for. I have seen better quality one cup coffee makers that even include a thermal travel mug within the same price range of this product.

Single cup coffee makers seem to have a short life span. It seems the most common issue, is the tendency for the motors to overheat and give up. I purchased my Cafe Uno brand new for $20.00 and it is my daily user. Still to my surprise, it has lasted over 2 years, and held up to my two cup daily coffee needs. For the price, I absolutely have got my money out of it.
